Membership Process
Club Administration
The club is run by the Board of Directors, elected by membership, at the annual meeting. Board membership rotates with term-limited seats except for officer positions which help maintain continuity. Officers are selected by the sitting Board. The Board is bound by the club constitution which is approved by the members. The Board meets monthly throughout the year, all meetings are open to membership. Monthly minutes of meetings are distributed to all members.
Professional staff are hired and managed by the Board. We take great pride that there is extremely low turnover for the staff. Concerns and issues when they arise, are handled expeditiously, politely, and effectively.
How to Apply for Membership
Membership is limited to 55, which insures unfettered access to all club facilities. You can call, 518.392.3468, or email, austerlitzclub@fairpoint.net, to see if there is an opening. If membership is full, you can choose to be placed on the waiting list. You must submit the completed application and fee to be placed on the list.
Once your application is accepted you will meet either with the Board of Directors (the Board meets in the evening every month on the second Thursday) or with a select few Board members on a mutually agreed date and time.
